This bodacious little knife has bookend matching handle scales made from a Florida Sand Pear tree that I have in my front yard (https://blogs.ifas.ufl.edu/columbiaco/2019/07/01/florida-sand-pears/). I had to trim a few branches and decided to try stabilizing as much of it as I could. I ended up with a few extremely rare and beautiful pieces (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood_stabilization). I have tried finding other products made from Florida Sand Pear with no success. I have tried finding sources to acquire Florida Sand Pear Wood, and again, been unsuccessful. I was requested to make this knife for one of my customers so, unfortunately, it will only be available if he decides not to purchase it. As for the knife, I call this one my "Little Skinner". The overall length is 7" with a blade that is a touch over 3". I gave it a clip point to make it a bit more pokey and thinned the blade to 1/10". The spine of the blade has thumb serrations for a bit more control, and this little bugger is razor-sharp. The full spec's are listed below.
