Little Skinner
Overall Length = 7”
Blade = Length – 3 1/8” Length – 1 1/4” Width
Blade Style = Stonewashed Clip Point with Thumb Serrations
Blade Material = 1/10” 1095 High Carbon Steel
Handle Material = Stabilized FL Red Cedar
Every so often I get my sticky little (fat) fingers on a very unique piece of wood, this was one of them. The handle material is stabilized Florida Red Cedar, this particular piece comes from where it transitions from sap wood (the white section) to heart wood (the reddish brown section) this was the only piece of transitioning wood that I have been able to successfully harvest. This knife is truly a one of a kind.
I decided to go with a Stonewashed finish on the blade because, with a handle like this, the blade just had to be as sexy as it could be. The blade is a clip point style that is 3 1/8" long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and is only about 1/10 of an inch thick, which will make this a phenomenal skinner/hunting companion.
Not only is this knife one of my personal picks for a hunting knife (Greg's Personal Pick - GPP) it is also a personal favorite of Becky's (?Becky's Personal Pick - BPP?) of course she thinks it's a great gardening knife!!!
