Here is a gorgeous "Florida Series" Wildlife Edition (I just came up with that title) Goldilocks. I have electro-chemically etched animal logos on a few knives in the past and I decided that I should make a "Florida Wildlife Series". All of the "Florida Wildlife Series will have Florida wood handles and species of wildlife that lives here in Florida. The little deer is the first of this new series of knives (It's supposed to be a White Tail Deer) but I will be working on getting stencils so I can Electro-chemically etch the critters on the blades. I have a bunch of different options I can do with this series (after all there quite a few members of the animal kingdom that call Florida Home). Some of the options I have are as follows.
.) Stay with the Deer Head logo on the Goldilocks style blade and and use multiple different Florida woods and or blade finishes.
.) Stay with the Florida Red Cedar and the Brushed finish then put as many different species of animals that I can get stencils for on the blade (such as Panther, Turkey, Gator, Eagle, Squirrel, Turtle, Coyote, Wild Hog, Racoon, Rabbit, Bass, Manatee, etc.).
.) Make a set of 3 Deer Head Goldilocks knives with Florida Red Cedar and different blade finishes (Brushed, Coffee Etched, and Stonewashed) Change to a different Florida Wood and a different animal stencil and make the matching set of three for that wood..
.) Use the scattergun method.... Make the blade with whatever logo and use whatever finish and wood that strikes my fancy at the time.
