7 1/4" OAL Florida Series Harpoon Clip Point EDC (Little Chubby) Custom Knives

Writer: GregBueGregBue

These gorgeous, unique, phenomenal, bodacious, stand out in the crowd little custom knives have been pretty popular. The Little Chubby is definitely a fun little EDC that will attract attention anytime you whip it out. I recently made a larger version of this freakin' awesome little knife and realized I hadn't made any Little Chubbies for quite a while. Well, I remedied that with these two. In case you're wondering why I chose to call these ostentatious little knives "Little Chubbies" the blade on these 7 1/4 inch knives is only 3 1/4 Inches long, with a width of 1 3/8 Inches and the steel is 5/32 Inch thick, so yah, they're a bit on the chubby side. Now don't let their chubbiness fool you, they are wicked sharp and will happily perform any cutting duty that you that have a mind to ask of them. When you grab ahold of a "Little Chubby" you're going to want to use it for everything. Just keep in mind, you may get quite a bit of attention if you whip your "Little Chubby" out at your favorite Steak House.

Here is the first of 2 "Little Chubbies" for 2025 (and maybe many more to follow)

Not only is this "Little Chubby" an extremely unique design that grabs the attention of pretty much anyone who sees it, the stabilized Florida wood handle material on this little darlin' is Crepe Myrtle. https://www.southernliving.com/crepe-myrtle-varieties-6830247 https://uphomely.com/is-crepe-myrtle-wood-good-for-anything

Here is the second (but not overshadowed) "Little Chubby"

This second "Little Chubby" is definitely not outdone by it's ostentatious sibling. Not only does it share the exact same blade specifications, the stabilized Florida Red Cedar wood used for the handle has beautiful figuring and is as unique to the knife world as the Crepe Myrtle. This particular Red Cedar tree had to be removed due to a construction project, but would have died in a very short period of time because giant red ants hade decimated the entire center of the tree. https://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/woody/Pages/junsil/junsil.shtml https://www.wildsouthflorida.com/red.cedar.html
